THE CARDINAL TRIBE TYPE
Cardinal Tribe contains the duality of Poles, but adds another dimension to the polarity and in so doing adds direction. Just as velocity is calculated not only by acceleration but also by direction, Cardinal influence is the influence of direction and drive. Cardinal is determined and relentless. Cardinal is easy to get started in a direction and difficult to divert from its direction, once it gets up a head of steam. Cardinal however does understand endings, unlike Polar Tribe. Cardinal understands the concept of a destination by which it measures its appropriate direction. Cardinal is therefore adept at determining relationships between things and identifying location with relation to things. Cardinal knows where things are, how to find them, or who to ask about it. Cardinal makes friends well, just enough to get what’s necessary from them and move on. Cardinals make great traders, negotiators and parents. Cardinals make stubborn and dogmatic teachers and clerics. As scientist inventors, Cardinals can produce wonders or disappear into the event horizon of their own focus, or both. Cardinals can exhibit both the tendency to stick with one thing forever, without deviation, and the ability to change directions completely from time to time. They are not, however, flighty, and when they change it is gently and with very clear reason. Considering how stubborn and dogmatic they can be, when they do change it can seem miraculous, but to them, it’s just navigating correctly.
Cardinal isn’t only the four points of the compass, but rather all directions necessary to spacial and inter-spacial navigation. The soul of Cardinal can identify locations to which they’ve been before anywhere in the universe by simply focusing on the memory. Their navigator ability is built into their inherent function, and despite their apparent devotion to a direction once committed, they don’t actually much care about the destination so much as the journey. It should be obvious that Cardinal types love travel and the operation of machinery and electronics.
