THE WEAVER TRIBE TYPE
Posted by iqiyou on July 10, 2008
Weaver Tribe picks up where Chime leaves off. Weaver is not interested in sounding only one note, but rather many and wants them all to be in harmony with each other. Still, Weaver, like Chime, is a maker of sound, or according to the other metaphors, a maker of strings of cohesive form. Weaver either makes them or finds them, but Weaver will always weave them. To Weaver Tribe, the lone cry of anything is a terrible sadness; no one should sing alone; no one should have to cry for help. There should always be more than one present.
Weaver is the brother and sister tribe—everyone’s team member. Weaver is confounded by competition, wanting to be on both teams simultaneously, or at least on the side that’s losing. Weaver wraps itself around things, like a blanket. In doing so it puts an interesting harmonic spin on Cardinal’s navigation. Weaver is driven and directed but the destination, rather than a point, is rather a field; always around and encompassing. Weaver abhors piercing, invasion or violation but puts a high premium on companionship and closeness. Thus, Weaver exemplifies another strange harmonic of both Polar and Chime Tribes, oscillating around an imaginary boundary to stay as close as it can without overstepping its bounds. Crossing the line is anathema to Weaver (which is the Polar harmonic), but the line is imaginary and changes position, which requires a kind of constant vacillation and course correction (which is the Chime harmonic).
One of Weaver’s qualities is more difficult to describe consistently—it is its harmonic of the Core Tribe. Whereas Core Tribe gravitated toward self and absorbed into itself, Weaver is able to create a condition which is the antithesis, an outflow of something other than Self. Weaver creates gateways. A harmonic of the Cardinal Tribe, which can travel inter-dimensionally, Weaver creates gates by inverting or involuting its field destination navigating ability; instead of trying to encompass something, it folds in on itself and pierces a hole through which something else can travel. If you think of a field as a shield, think of its antithesis as a hole where the shield would be. In a cosmic capacity, this is the quality of inter-dimensional portal creation embodied into a form. Specifically, Weaver overloads its weaving process. It finds many like things to weave together harmoniously, and combines them with a fierce love and devotion, until a kind of implosion happens and a hole or rift is opened from which new things can spring forth. Weaver Tribe opens gates just as well as it covers holes.

It’s not always easy to navigate the various blog entries on my site. I didn’t write these in a logical order, so they don’t flow, though they do interrelate. I write about the Chime Tribe type here (http://iqiyou.wordpress.com/2008/07/09/the-chime-tribe-type/). I write about the Weaver Tribe type here (http://iqiyou.wordpress.com/2008/07/10/the-weaver-tribe-type/). In my primer (http://iqiyou.wordpress.com/2008/06/22/dreamspell-clans-and-tribes-a-primer/), I explain that I use slightly different names for the tribe types, substituting “Chime” for the Dreamspell’s traditional “Signal” Tribe type, and “Weaver” for the Dreamspell’s “Gateway” Tribe type.
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting, and I hope this helps.
Deep Peace,
